ART at Terra Nova Terra Nova Global Properties features the artwork of Ed Larson beginning in September, 2008. Located in downtown Carrboro, Terra Nova invites artists into the office about every six weeks, giving artists a space to display and opportunities to gain greater exposure. The art helps create a stimulating office environment, one ever-changing and constantly inspiring. The Larson reception will be held on Thursday, September 18 from 5:30-7pm. Both Larson and Terra Nova are excited to announce that 40% of the proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity, a cause that both the artist and the agents support. Light refreshments will be served. The reception is free and open to the public. "Terra Nova is so pleased to be part of the Carrboro community and to contribute to the art community by hosting Art Shows and receptions for artists and art aficionados," said Mariana Fiorentino, broker in charge. "We are delighted to have the fantastic art by Ed Larson here for the Fall show and to support Habitat for Humanity." Larson is influenced by Rothko, Motherwell, Kline and Mondrian. His abstract work uses a unique black on black technique that brings an element of surprise and spontaneity to each piece.
